my art
When I was a young child, I would ask strangers to tell me their nightmares. I love scary stories!
My first performance was my band Loud Kitchen. I played an amplified toy kitchen and the harmonica.
Soon after, I created a dance piece called “Everything Frightening” and performed it at a college.
For my fifth birthday, I made up “walks” for all the animals and performed my dance, “The Animals Parade.”
I wrote, directed and starred in plays inspired by mythology, including a musical about the origin of the elements. For my solo improv show, I played every channel on television.
When I was ten, I had a rock band called Dark Beasts.
When I was 14, I wrote a series of horror film reviews.
In high school, I founded the after-school Horror Club. We watched and discussed classic horror films and made our own zines.
